Hundreds of thousands of women and girls have been raped and tortured in the Congo in the last 10 years. These women and girls are in dire need of trauma recovery healing and empowerment based education so that they can re-create their lives.
It is for this reason that I am sending you this invitation....
I would love you to join me for this event sponsoring the
Trauma Healing and Empowerment Training Program that I have developed in partnership with Vday (http://drc.vday.org/) at The City of Joy in Bukavu, Congo.
The City of Joy is a transformational community for Congolese women survivors of sexual violence where their pain will be turned into their power, enabling them to be leaders and providing them with a place to heal emotionally as they rebuild their lives

An inspiring presentation about how you can support the healing and deep empowerment of the Congolese women and girls.

And a chance to be amongst some of the most wonderful people such as you!!!
Just Imagine what would be possible if we were all gathered in one place- with one intention in our hearts and minds: to support the healing of this trauma and to inspire the empowerment and leadership of the women in the Congo.
